Hey guys, today’s topic we’re going to talk about, what do you need to become a DJ? So, of course when you say that topic, everybody thinks well, what equipment do I need to become a DJ? But, first let me say, what you need to become a DJ is you need to have a profound love for music, and I think a lot of people do. I never really ask people and they say, oh music, nah, I don’t like music. So, first that real profound love for music, and that drive to want to entertain people, that drive to want to rock a crowd of people in a club or have a crowd of people dancing on the dance floor. And, you need to really have that entertainer or star quality, something that drives you to want to entertain people and get them dancing on the dance floor. Secondly, you’re going to need some equipment. You’re going to need a basic DJ mixer, you’re going to need either two turntables or some C.D. turntables. Basically the things that you need are love for music and some basic DJ equipment. O.k., and stepping it up to the next level to becoming a Professional DJ, you’re going to need some extensive training. You’re probably going to need a mentor, somebody to bring you into the club and show you actually how to work in a club environment. And, actually you’ll probably need an agent or a manager, you’ll also need a demo C.D, you’ll need a bio or some type of information that you can give possible clients. Those are the things that you need to become a DJ.
